GIG serves to fill the current artist development void in the exploitative, outdated music industry. By creating a pathway from open mic to paid professional, we are designed to pay qualified musicians a living wage through tax free donations. Offering an alternative to social media and other algorithms for artists...GIG provides a real opportunity to help change hard working musician's lives directly.
Over the last 25 years the market value of recorded music has plummeted from $20 for a physical CD to now $0.00034 per stream. Additionally the standard rate for local performances hasn't changed since the early 1980's, still hovering around $100 per show. GIG is founded by musicians for musicians powered by music lovers like you, to keep our craft alive.

OUR VISION
G.I.G. is a public benefit nonprofit founded by musicians for musicians, establishing live music as a societal utility globally.
Through multimedia, events, innovative outreach, and the power of live music we are connecting with audiences everyday. GIG is sustained by philanthropic efforts by music lovers like you and guided by our professional musician Board of Directors.
We are strategically partnering with chefs, restaurateurs, and venue entrepreneurs to unite communities via local food and global music. Creating a new touring network across the US and eventually the globe.
Our Junior Mentorship Program will nurture high-potential amateurs with veteran training, while a collegiate recruitment program will spread awareness of live music’s power, leveraging new technology to inspire change and scout talent.
G.I.G. will also create a K-12 music education model focused on therapy, classes, and mental health worldwide. Finally, we’ll harness our unique talent to support global environmental initiatives in partnership with green2gold.org.
